Quarter Two

Week One:

• Monday--Discuss Technology
• Tuesday--In computer lab: set up blog (blogger) and aggregator (either google reader or netvibes).  Here is everyone's addresses so you can cut and paste them into your aggregator of choice: Blog Addresses. 
• Wednesday--work on blog, use aggregator, comment on other people's blogs
• Thursday--discuss blogs, etc.
• Friday--Notes on Antigone

 

Week Two: 

• Monday--Finish notes on Antigone (this link does not have line numbers), Read Antigone Prologue through Scene 2, homework assignment on blog
• Tuesday--Read Antigone (this link has line numbers)
• Wednesday--character study assignment
• Thursday--present, LRJ #2, introduce Antigone paper, Sample Works Cited page.
• Friday--in computer lab

 

Week Three: 

• Monday--Notes on The History of the English language

 

Week Four:

• Monday--Notes on Beowulf, start reading intro from Beowulf. 
• Tuesday--Finish intro to Beowulf, start Beowulf LRJ #1.
• Wednesday--Read Beowulf and the Battle with Grendel.  Finish Beowulf LRJ #1.
• Thursday--Read Beowulf and the Battle with Grendel's mother.  Start Beowulf LRJ #2.
• Friday--computer lab; work on LRJs

 

 

Week Four:

• Monday--Beowulf: the Battle with the Fire Breathing Dragon, LRJ 3.
• Tuesday--Finish LRJ, work on Beowulf commentary, sign up for commentary lines!  Commentary due on Monday!
• Wednesday--check out The Inferno, start The Inferno Notes, hw: Cantos 1-3
• Thursday--finish The Inferno Notes, continue reading, hw: Cantos 4-6
• Friday--The Inferno

 

Week Five:

• Monday--Beowulf commentary due 

 

Week Six: The Canterbury Tales

• Notes on the Canterbury Tales
• Read Prologue
• Divide into small groups
• Prioress

 

Week Nine: Review and Finals
