Journal Entries

You will read 3 selections of your choice from the attached list.  You will complete the following journal entry for each story that you read:

1.    A short summary

2.    What events are happening in the world or the country during the person’s life?

3.    Why is the person memorable?  Check the biography in the book if you are not sure).

4.    What is the “focus” of the selection? (A focus is the period of time in the person’s life or one or two world events that made an impact on the person).

5.    Consider “showing” and “telling.”  Where is real footage used in the selection?
